cancellation policy

At PPLJ, we value your time and strive to provide a smooth scheduling experience for all our members. To ensure we can accommodate everyone, we require a 8-hour notice for any changes to your schedule.

If you are on an Unlimited Package and Late Cancel or No Show for a class, you will be charged $15.

If you are on a Class Package, a Late Cancel or No Show would result in a 1 (one) class deduction.

We believe in treating every member fairly, so we cannot make exceptions. We understand that emergencies may arise and are happy to review individual cases. Your cooperation makes it possible for all our members to have the opportunity to work out.

grip socks required

For safety and sanitary purposes, PPLJ requires that all clients wear grip socks during class. We sell a variety at the studio if you choose to purchase them.

late policy

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way and you may run late to your scheduled class. If you anticipate running late, please give us a call so we can either hold your spot or open it up to waitlisted clients. However, please note that our 40-minute classes run on a tight schedule, and we have a strict 5-minute late policy. If you do not arrive within 5 minutes of the start of your scheduled class time, your spot may be given to the first person on the waitlist or a walk-in client, and a cancellation or late fee may be incurred. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in respecting our class schedule.

FAQ

  • The best way to learn Lagree Fitness is to jump in and take a class. Each class will have no more than 16 people, so you will get personalized attention during your workout. Your instructor will give an overview before class and he or she will coach and give direction on all the exercises, including what the modifications are for each one. We are always aware when it’s someone’s first time in class, however, if you have an injury or are in the early stages of pregnancy, it is recommended to take a private session first. We also offer a ‘Foundations Of Lagree Beginner’ class if you prefer to start in a smaller learning environment going over the machine and exercise basics.

  • Absolutely! At Pilates Plus La Jolla, we understand that starting a new fitness regimen can be intimidating, especially if you're new to Lagree. That's why we offer our "Foundations of Lagree" class, specifically designed to help beginners get acquainted with the Megaformer, Lagree exercises, and spring changes.

In this 25-minute class, clients will have the opportunity to move at a reduced pace, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the equipment and movements at a comfortable level. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each exercise, ensuring proper form and technique.

The Foundations of Lagree class serves as an excellent preparation for our standard 40-minute Lagree classes, allowing clients to build confidence and strength gradually.

Ready to give it a try? Check out our class schedule and sign up for a Foundations of Lagree class today!

  • We’re thrilled you’re thinking about getting into shape with us. Lagree Fitness is a very efficient and effective way to burn fat and build muscle. The class is definitely challenging, and if you haven’t worked out in a long time, or ever, you will have to take more breaks in class and that’s ok. We promise you’ll want to come back for more!

  • – A water bottle; we have purified drinking water available. – Wear comfortable workout clothes, nothing too loose. Grip socks are required. We sell many styles and colors of grip socks at the studio if you’d like to purchase a pair. – Jewelry is NOT a good idea. – NO cellphones during classes. Be respectful of others and give yourself this 40-min! – NO strong perfumes as some students are allergic. – A POSITIVE attitude!!

  • The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you need to rest. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover. We recommend 3X/week to allow your body to properly recover and repair. But some students love the workout so much that they come 5 or 6 times a week. It’s up to you, but please remember to listen to your body.

  • To ensure that you're properly checked in for class and avoid any No-Show and Late fees, please follow these steps:

    1. Check-In at the Front Desk: Our friendly front desk staff is available at the studio from Mon- Thurs 8 AM to 6 PM, and Fri-Sun 8 AM-1 PM. Simply approach the front desk upon arrival and verbally provide your name to check in for your class.

    2. Inform Your Instructor: If the front desk is not available at the time of your class, please inform your instructor of your name to ensure they check you in manually.

Additionally, we highly recommend adding a profile picture to your Walla Account. This makes it easier for our staff to identify you and helps streamline the check-in process. You have two options for adding your profile picture:

    a. Get Your Photo Taken: You can have your photo taken by our front desk staff or instructors during your next visit to the studio.

    b. Send Your Profile Picture: Alternatively, you can send your profile picture to us, and we'll add it to your Walla Account. Simply navigate to the "profile picture" section in Walla to upload your photo.

By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth check-in process for all your classes and avoid any unnecessary fees.

  • We require an 8-hour notice before making any kind of changes to your schedule. Any change after 8-hrs is considered a ‘late cancellation’ and is subject to a $15 fee. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more in-depth detail.

There are few exceptions, but if you have an emergency please call or email us as soon as you can.

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, especially if this is your first time. This will allow ample time to meet your instructor, get an overview of the machines and fill your water bottle.

  • Yes! If you are 5 minutes late to class your spot is open for someone who may be waiting. It is very important to arrive on time so you get the full workout and don’t disrupt class.

  • We appreciate your enthusiasm for our classes!

Please note that if you choose to take two classes in one day, whether they are standard classes or specialty classes like Arms & Abs, an additional charge of $15 will apply. This policy ensures fairness and allows us to accommodate all of our clients effectively.

We encourage you to plan your schedule accordingly and take advantage of our variety of classes throughout the week. If you have any further questions or need assistance with scheduling, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.

  • We recommend you do not sign up for more than one class. If you end up getting into two classes you are subject to being charged the no-show fees. If you add yourself to the waitlist, it is your responsibility to monitor and adjust as necessary. If it’s more than 8 hours before class you will get automatically added to class and an email and/or text (if you have a phone number on file) to let you know you got a spot. Please remember it is your responsibility to have an active email, phone number and credit card on file at all times.

  • At Pilates Plus La Jolla, we strive to make our policies transparent and straightforward for our clients.

To cancel your membership, we kindly ask that you reach out to our management team at least 2-3 weeks before your next billing cycle. This advance notice allows us to process your cancellation smoothly and ensures that you will not be billed for the following month.

If you cancel outside of this 2-3 week window, a cancellation fee of $25 will be charged to your account. We appreciate your understanding of this policy as it helps us maintain the integrity of our membership system.

  • At Pilates Plus La Jolla, we want to ensure the safety and well-being of all our clients, including our younger participants. Here's our policy regarding age requirements for Lagree classes:

    For Clients Ages 15:

Children who are 15 years old are welcome to participate in Lagree classes, but they must be accompanied by a guardian or parent during the class. Children younger than 15 years old can attend our Teens class.

For Clients Ages 16 and Above: Children who are 16 years old or older are permitted to take Lagree classes independently. However, if they are under 18 years old, they must have their guardian or parent sign a waiver on their behalf. Additionally, our management team will have a brief conversation with them to ensure they understand the nature of the class and any safety guidelines.

We prioritize the safety and comfort of all our clients, and we appreciate your understanding of these policies.
